About this Course
This course is designed to prepare students in the understanding of two-dimensional Euclidean space. Proofs using deductive reasoning, introduction to three dimensional space and applications of both two and three dimensional spaces are also covered. Topics include: logic and proof, properties of triangles, Polygons, circles, area and perimeter, surface area and volume. This meets all state requirements for the curriculum. This course is equivalent to one year of High School Plane Geometry or one semester of college level Geometry
Course Completion
Cal State Monterey Bay offers Extended Education academic credits, a letter grade and an official transcript for the courses. The credits received are non-degree, professional development credit, offered through the University's Office of Extended Education.
Plane Geometry = 3 credits.
