| Customer Reviews: Perfect Companion for the Official SAT Study Guide July 22, 2008 Michael Suppe (New York, NY USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I saw the need to write this book while tutoring students for the SAT math section. When I tutor students, I only use the Official SAT Study Guide, published by the College Board. I typically assign students problems from that book to do for homework.
After I would show a student how to do a problem, he or she would want to see another problem like it, to practice the skill I had just taught. As a result, I found myself writing tons of questions to meet the needs of my students. Each question I wrote was similar to a specific question in the Official SAT Study Guide, to test that exact skill. Students were happy with the questions I wrote, because they felt that they were able to reinforce what they had just learned by doing an additional practice problem.
432 Math Questions for the SAT with Solutions is a collection of these problems, which have all been written to specifically match problems in the Official SAT Study Guide. There are 432 questions because there are 54 math questions in each of the 8 practice tests in the Official SAT Study Guide (54 x 8 = 432). A detailed solution is included with each practice problem.
Excellent Study Guide November 21, 2008 Proud Mommy 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great book. I bought it for my son to prepare for the SAT because he was having difficulty with the math section. It was easy to use and not only had solutions but detailed explanations. He scored much higher on the Math section of the actual SAT than he had on practice tests. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to prepare for or increase their math score on the SAT. Excellent study guide!
