Math Made Easy!
~The Rebecca Review
master the fundamentals with this book October 23, 2004 Heather Wang (Los Angeles, CA) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
This book is what you expect from DK. Solid drills with clear and concise reviews on all 3rd grade topics. Answer keys are complete and easy to lookup. Nice stickers and high quality printing. The problems are not difficult. Its goal is to make your child master the fundamentals, not just know them.
An effective way to achieve mastery is to time the drills. I recommend you set a clock for your child and let him experience the real test feeling and get rid of procrastination. There is a nice website Beestar.org that provides free daily timed math exercises you can use to compare your child's speed with others. My son's math skills (include speed) improved significantly with this book. I'm glad I bought it.
Great math review for summer! July 5, 2008 W. Palmer (Baton Rouge, LA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was very pleased with this purchase. I was looking for a way for my 8 year old to review her math over the summer months. Very comprehensive.
Excellent resource.
Highly Recommended August 12, 2008 Shikhar Srivastava (Waltham, MA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have used many workbooks for practice but this workbook has proved far better for our kid. We tried scholastic, school speciality and some others but they were all pretty basic and our son finished them in no more than two weeks. With this workbok, style is pretty and well organized, contents are just enough and topics well presented. Highly recommended for practice lessons.
My daughter loves it, I do too. June 29, 2007 Aubrey Barajas (Cotati, CA) We really like this book. It is really easy to follow and my daughter enjoys doing the work. We will buy it again for my other children.
