SCHOLASTIC 100 math activitieskids need to do by 1st grad September 11, 2006 T. Kirk (Raleigh, North Carolina) 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
We're homeschoolers. We have several "workbooks" of all kinds (gifts from family members). My 6 year-old-daughter doesn't like to be taught or be forced to learn things. She likes to discover things by herself. She likes workbooks but finds it's boring as she now moves to the higher level math. Another homeschooler mom gave us this one a couple months ago. She LOVES this book and only wants to do activities in this book. She asks if she can get more books like these. It has lots of colorful pictures, cool activities, reusable stickers, and funny riddles (her favorite). All the math concepts and reasoning skills are written in a fun and creative ways. I'm getting the other 2 workbooks for 2nd and 3rd grades or more if available. Highly recommended.
Colorful and Fun Workbook May 6, 2009 Moon Dancer 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I agree with the previous reviewer. We are homeschooling this year and I have bought a number of workbooks for my daughter. This is the most eye-catching of them all.
My daughter considers this book fun and I agree with her. It is well written and thought out. The graphics are highly appealling. My child is excited by this wookbook and the new words she is learning to read and write.
Great for kids August 29, 2009 Cecilia Mina S. nakamura My daughter , a prescholer has loved this exercises and it's the funniest way to learn math, it starts very easily and gradually goes to a difficult level. It contains some stickers, too.
Great book for Pre-K March 24, 2010 Stuck At Home Mom.com (stuckathomemom.com) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
My daughter loved this book in Pre-K, but the math she is doing in public school kindergarten is much more advanced.
I see a lot of posts from homeschooling moms and I'm shocked to read that their 6 year old children are only this far when it comes to math.
However as someone who was home schooled, I shouldn't be surprised.
Big and Colorful October 22, 2009 taylor Fun activities with big and colorful illustrations... This book covers practically everything a Kindergarten and 1st grader will learn and should know. A great supplement tool to use at home. Out of all the activity books my five year old has, this book is the only book he will pick to do on his own. I strongly recommend this book and the "100 Words Kids Need To Read By 1st Grade". I gave this product a four, b/c some of the activities lack detailed explanations.
